Recently I've been playing with version control using the powerful SVN. With SVN you can keep track of the changes in your project, work from any remote location and keep a multi-version backup. At first I tried and created a local SVN repository, everything was fine but in a case of a hard disk failure all the data from the repository would have been lost. The next logical step was to create a remote repository. SourceForge.net provides with SVN tools for GPL compatible projects. Currently the engine is not self sustained because of the luck of assets, all the textures, models, materials etc are not available at the moment.
You can find the AnKi engine's source here
